Printing in Color
Large Format Printing
1.) Setting your file up for large format output.
2.) Fonts should be converted to artwork.
3.) Creating an .eps or .pdf file has the option of embedding the fonts.
4.) All Images should be converted to CMYK.
5.) We have found that 150dpi image quality is the minimum for sized graphics.
Color Printing
1.) Color shifting may occur if the images are not converted from RGB to CMYK.
Display (RGB) to Printer (CMYK). We recommend the use of a pantone swatch book
for color matching purposes.
2.) E- Mailing files: we will except files as long as they are not excessive in size.
If the files are to large we use zip drives and cd-roms for transport.
Preflight your files so that you know there are no errors.
You may request a preflight sheet by calling 423-929-8580.
3.) Here is something that may help on your color settings for
printing at HCS. If you would like a full page image of
this you may click on the images below. These are make
shift color charts to show the differences between prints
and screens.
